Prevention Education Services

Prevention education services delivered through training, informational presentations and the support of community civic and task groups target the entire community in an effort to "keep healthy people healthy". The prevention staff delivers in-service programs and presentations to employee groups, parenting skills training to parents, teachers training relative to the development of prosocial skills in children, and leadership training to youth. Program content addresses recognized risk factors and the accompanying protective factors for alcohol or other drug abuse, as well as other behavioral problems associated with delinquent behavior.
